Thông báo chính thức về buổi hội thảo dự kiến gửi qua các lớp trong tuần 6-9/02/2023. Applicants to undergraduate programs at the University of Toronto will be automatically considered for merit-based scholarships just by applying. Simply said, the higher the student’s academic grades, the more likely they will receive one of these scholarships. While the vast majority of these scholarships do not cover the full tuition and are usually for the first year of studies only, there are a few fantastic ones – for example the Arts & Science Global Scholarship (covers full tuition for four years of undergraduate studies) or the University of Toronto International Scholar Award ($100,000 CAD over four years of undergraduate studies).
One prestigious scholarship is called the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship – this scholarship covers all expenses including tuition fees for all four years of undergraduate studies, accommodation, incidental fees, and books. Please note that students must be nominated by their school for this scholarship and only one student can be nominated for consideration per school per year. More information can be found HERE.
In terms of work opportunities, being the top-ranked university in Canada and being located in the financial hub of Canada, the University of Toronto does strive to provide many opportunities for students to apply what they have learned in the classroom – including programs with co-operative learning at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus or the Faculty of Arts & Science Internship Program. The Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering has the Professional Experience Year Co-op, which allows students to work for up to 20 months with a top employers – on an annual basis, these students earn an average salary of $55,000 CAD. These are just a few of the many opportunities available throughout a student’s studies at the University of Toronto.
While I certainly acknowledge and agree with you that tuition fees are quite high at the University of Toronto, I do hope that some of the scholarships and work opportunities listed above can prove to be helpful to your excellent students and their families as they plan for life after high school.
With all that being said, we will certainly provide more detail on these key items during our presentation to your students! |
