Greetings from the College of Science, City University of Hong Kong!

Building upon the fruitful event held in previous years, our College is organizing the third Science Summer Camp in the coming summer. The activity will be conducted online this year in consideration with the pandemic situation. The activity offers excellent opportunities for prospective applicants of our PhD programmes to explore the research areas and topics that our students can choose to pursue.

To bring together those who plan to embark on PhD studies in science and related disciplines at CityU, your kind assistance is sought in promoting this opportunity to students of your department/faculty.

Date: 13-14 July 2021 (Two Half-day Sessions)

Highlights of activities: Research seminars, introduction of research degree programmes at CityU, information sessions on HKPhD Fellowship Scheme, meeting with supervisors, etc.

Who can apply?

Students who:

1.       are currently undertaking (in his/her final year of study in 2021/22) or hold a higher degree by research/ Master’s degree/ Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, mathematics, physics and related disciplines;

2.       achieved top ranking in class;

3.       have the potential to fulfill/ have fulfilled CityU’s English Proficiency Requirement (those who have met the requirement will receive priority consideration); and

4.       intend to apply for admission to CityU’s PhD programmes in 2022/23.
