· Rankings - We are ranked as one of the top 200 universities in the world; we are ranked 50th in the world for our Engineering programs, 50th in the world for mathematics, and 23rd in the world for computer science (including data science). · Programs - We offer over 100 programs from six facilities; popular programs include psychology, aviation, our business+ programs, pathways to medicine, Engineering (we have 15 programs), mathematics, physics, computer science, data science, and geography. · Co-op – Our job readiness program, called co-op, allows students to earn two years of work experience before they graduate. I would also like to let you know that our team will be hosting Future Math Student Webinars in December and January. These webinars are designed to help students understand the differences between our mathematics and computer science programs and get answers to all of their admissions and university-related questions.
Details are below. Math Speaker Series Workshops – November 19 and 26 Join Professor J.P. Pretti and his talk on "Describing Artichoke Spirals and Counting Honey Bees" to learn about the Fibonacci sequence of numbers in nature. Compute the n-th Fibonacci number and understand why this might be important.

Our workshops are for students in their final year of study who are interested in applying to mathematics or computer science at the University of Waterloo for fall 2022.
