We are happy to announce that The Department of Mathematics of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is now inviting applications for the “TUYF Full Scholarships for Top Students from Southeast Asia” for the academic year 2023/24 from all high school students with exceptional mathematical talents in Southeast Asia.

 This prestigious admission scholarship was commenced in the academic year 2020/21. It aims at giving full financial support to students with extraordinary mathematical talents from Southeast Asian countries to study in our Enrichment Mathematics program, which is specially designed to train mathematical talents, paving the way for them to pursue higher degrees and research careers in advanced mathematics and related fields.

 Our Department has a long history of providing top quality training for mathematical talents. Thousands of our alumni have become leaders in different professions and sectors all over the world, among them is the world-renowned mathematician and Fields Medalist Professor Shing-Tung Yau.


Value of the Scholarship
The Scholarship will cover the FULL tuition fees at CUHK as well as living expenses in Hong Kong throughout the normative period of the programme.  The Scholarship is tenable for 4 academic years, subject to satisfactory academic performance and personal conduct.

Eligibility

Non-local students from Southeast Asia who have applied for the Enrichment Mathematics programme are all eligible, and will automatically be considered by the Selection Panel.

Nomination
Principal and/or Teachers are welcome to encourage your top students to apply for our programme (Enrichment Mathematics). Recommendation letters for your students will be taken into account in the selection process.
