Dear Counsellor,

We understand that COVID-19 has and continues to impact us all in various ways and you are pivoting fast to help your students continue their education whilst also constantly navigating through uncertain times. We know and see the hard work you have put in to support them; and it is with great appreciation and thanks to you that we have successfully welcomed thousands of new students to SFU this Fall. Thank you for all you are doing.

We have spent the last few months adapting for a Fall virtual recruitment season, and now we’re ready to share with you all that we have in store for our prospective students. This newsletter will introduce our team and territory approach, upcoming activities, and updates on what we have planned for our prospective students.

As you would assume, recruitment in the upcoming months will look different but our priority remains to provide students, parents, and yourselves with all that you need to know about SFU today, keep you engaged, and provide you ample opportunities and easy access to connect with us at SFU.

New Admissions Website and 2021 Viewbook

We are thrilled to announce that our Admissions Website has a new look! We believe it better showcases our offerings and provides easier navigation to the information you need. You can download our 2021 digital viewbook and find other great resources on our Recruitment Resources page. Please feel free to share with your students.

Virtual Information Sessions & Virtual Campus Tours

We’re not visiting any schools in person this year. If you’re hosting a virtual event, please let us know by completing our survey or, just email us. We’d love to support you and any events you may already be coordinating. We are hosting a series of Online Information Sessions and Virtual Campus Tours throughout the fall, specifically for students applying from outside of Canada. Your students can register on our Tours and Events page and we’ll do the rest of the work!

SFU Virtual Preview Day – Saturday, December 5

We’re hosting our first Virtual Preview Day on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Students and parents wishing to learn about SFU can join us to connect with faculty representatives who will share information about their programs, unique student experiences, and more! Registration will open in November on our Tours and Events page
